Choreographer & Instructor David Ali has over 25 yrs of dancing experience. He started his career in 1978 at Trinidad School of Indian Dance with
Instructor Rajkumar Krishna Persad who taught Bharatnatyam Classical Dance. David, earned a Summer Camp Scholarship & attended The University of the West Indies where he learned the basic elements of Caribbean Dance that includes African, Spanish, Ballet, Chinese & Indian.
In 1982 Indian Instructor Shri Pradeep Shankar & Indira Mahatoo welcomed David with the different arts of Kathak Classical Dance. That same year, David Ali & Baby Susan (now called Susan Mohip) joined forces & entered many competitions & with continued success, they performed at many Events & Cultural Shows. David's popularity & success led to the opening of "The David Ali Dance Academy". His dance group excellerated within a short time. They entered & won many competitions.
In 1993, David migrated to New York, USA & started a new dance group called "Mehfil Dance Group" in which they existed for seven years.
In 1994, David Ali was recognized by TV host Eshri Singh of the popular show "Aap ki Kushi" as one of the Best Male Dancers of NY. Here in the US, David partnered with some of the most talented and beautiful dancers of all time.
As of today, his continued success is beyond recognition. David is the Choreographer/Instructor of The David Ali Dance Academy, one of the most popular dance group of NY.
