At a very young age, I've always enjoyed Bollywood Films and Songs. I had a great passion for dancing. As i matured, the love & passion for dancing became more intense and without a doubt, challenging myself to perform some of Bollywood greatest hits was exhilarating & gratifying.
It all started when i was eight years old. My father loved entertaining the family by re-enacting dance scenes from some of the most popular Bollywood Films. It was inspiring and I enjoyed joining him as a dance partner.
Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, attending a Dance Academy was not a possibility for me. However, my passion and determination to learn Bollywood Dance was immense. With poise & discipline, i was able to acquire and originate dance techniques that was distinct from others. Fortunately, i was able to implement a dream into reality. As for the feeling, it was indescribable. Opportunities came & i was able to travel extensively throughout the Unites States, Caribbean & Canada performing at cultural shows/events.
In August of 2007, I joined the Award Winning Program "Jamana Ki Shanti TV Show" as their new hostess. The show has been a huge hit, winning the West Indian Award for Best TV Show for two consecutive years, 2008 & 2009.
I believe in the importance of promoting our culture. It is essential to educate our younger generation about our heritage. My goal is to do so. I do hope that i am able to diversify and inspire the new generation to continue the trend that many of the artiste & community leaders has set within our community.
Special thanks to my family, friends and not forgetting my fans for their support throughout the years. I couldn't have done it without them.
